California State University Channel Islands will open in the fall of 2002 for community college transfer students. Freshmen will be admitted in the fall of 2003. The majors that are planned for the first year of operation include Teacher Education, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Business Administration and Management, Computer Science, and Environmental Science. The highest priority programs are those in Teacher Education and Biology , with the goal of articulating a seamless transfer process for local community college students. Eight Ventura area community colleges have signed a Transfer Admission Guarantee agreement with CSU Channel Islands that facilitates this process. Please visit our web site at www.csuci.edu for the latest information on applying to CSU Channel Islands.
