Introduction

Since 1925 Ventura College has served Ventura County with a rich tradition of academic and vocation programs. Set on 103 acres in the rolling hills of Ventura, California, the college enrolls approximately 12,000 students each semester. As an accredited two-year institution of higher education, Ventura College grants associate in arts and science degrees, as well as certificates of completion in a side variety of vocational areas. Student goals include:
  • university transfer
  • learning new job skills,or
  • seeking personal and/or professional enrichment.

The college offers a wide range of support services that help students reach their educational goals. These include:
  • academic and career counseling
  • tutoring
  • financial aid
  • job placement
  • transfer services
  • on-site child care, and
