
The
Construction Technology program is divided into two majors: Building Inspection
and Construction Management.
The Building Inspection option is designed for building inspectors and architects. The curriculum consists primarily of code knowledge and International Code Conference (ICC) certification preparation. The subjects include building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, concrete, masonry, structural steel, accessibility and energy codes and regulations.
The Construction Management option is designed for contractors, estimators and site superintendents. The curriculum consists of contractor licensing, office management, cost estimating, computer applications, building codes, system design and installation procedures.
