Agenda

1) Zacharias Hunt, County of Santa Barbara; Countywide Street Network Development

3) Hassan Kasraie, PE, CFM; Floodplain Mapping & Visualization in 3D GIS
Brief: A recent GIS-based hydrology and floodplain analysis of Hopper Creek, completed just one week before the January 2005 storms, proved to accurately depict the destructive path of the floodwaters, and the breakout points along the creek. After the storms, a detail LIDAR topographic and imagery survey of the entire floodplain area was prepared. A new floodplain analysis was required so that the special flood hazard areas could be mapped accurately. In particular, the US Army Corps of Engineers' HEC-GeoRAS, ESRI's Spatial and 3D Analyst extensions for ArcGIS were utilized extensively.

4) Tim Craig, ESRI; Editing Tips and Tricks
