Welcome to Ventura College's new Environmental Science & Resource Management (ESRM) Program. We have added two new ESRM courses (ESRM 2 & 3) and have revised two existing courses and brought them under the ESRM banner (ESRM 1 & ESRM 14). These courses can be taken in any order and together provide a through introduction to the issues, science, policy, and practice related to health of our planet.

ESRM 1, 2, & 3 are the core classes required for our revised Proficiency Award in Enviornmental Studies. (These used to be called Certificates of Completion.) ESRM 14 is an elective for the certificate.

Core courses:

• Introduction to Environmental Issues - ESRM 1/BIOL 10 (Instructor: Elzbet Diaz de Leon) Biology credit
• Introduction to Environmental Science - ESRM 2 (Instructors: Steve Palladino, Bill Budke) Physical Science credit
• Introduction to Environmental Policy and Natural Resource Management - ESRM 3/POLY 12(Instructor: Bob Porter, Daniel Gonzales) Social Science credit. Sometimes offered as an ONLINE COURSE

• Conservation of Natural Resources - ESRM 14/AG 54 (Instructor: Bill Budke, Agriculture credit)
• Future Coure: Techniques and Technologies for Enviornmental Science and Resource Management (Budke)
