Directions: Once you get to campus see map above.
From Ventura or farther north: Hwy 101 South to Hwy 126 East.
Go east on Hwy 126 until the Victoria Ave exit (first exit!). Left
over freeway on Victoria until major light at Telegraph Road. Left
on Telegraph. Ventura College will be on your right side after the
3rd light.
From Oxnard or farther south: Hwy 101 North to the Victoria
Ave exit (2nd exit after the Santa Clara River Bridge). Right on
Victoria continue for a few miles until major light at Telegraph Road.
Left on Telegraph. Ventura College will be on your right side after
the 3rd light.

Professor of GIS and Geography at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Mike is arguably the most influential GIS academic in the world. His list
of publications and accomplishments is extensive and includes inclusion as
a member of National Academy of Sciences. It is an honor to have him come and
share
with us his is vision on where GIS is going.
10:00 - 4:00 Vendor Exhibits (SCI 113 and SCI 119)
Vendors can begin to set up at 8am. GIS Day Participants are encouraged to visit
exhibits all through the day.
10:00 - 12:30 Breakout Sessions: GIS Application Examples (SCI 116,
SCI 222, SCI 221)
Presentations by GIS users from around the Tri-County area. (see detailed
Schedule at event)
12:30 - 1:15 Lunch (Science building loading dock, around the corner
from SCI 116)
Free for pre-registrants (see top of this page).
1:15 - 1:45 Poster Session (Breezeway between SCI 119 and Loading
Dock.) Judging until 3:00, awards at 3:30.
Poster presentations with maps that show how GIS is used to manage parks,
map oil pipelines, do city planning, and the like. (Posters will be up all
day until 3:45)
1:45 - 3:30 Sponsor Presentations (SCI 222) - Come join our
sponsors as they showcase the use of their GIS products.
